Your personal data is primarily stored within the European Union. Specifically, we use PlanetScale to store and process application data in London (EU).
Some sub-processors process data outside the EU, in the United States. When errors occur, the error message and details about the user session are stored in Sentry. When you use the support chat, the questions you send are processed by Anthropic (Claude). Both Sentry and Anthropic store and process data in the United States under data processing agreements that comply with GDPR, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers.
Data is shared with the Norwegian Bowling Federation (Norges Bowlingforbund, NBF) for the purpose of validating user accounts and providing correct player classifications. This includes tournament results together with the personal data connected to those results (such as the player's name, bowling club, and classification). Data is also shared with tournament organizers for the purpose of contacting participants. And directly or indirectly publicly available through the BowlingRes website.

We will retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide our services. We will also retain and use your personal data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies. This includes historical data about tournaments you have played in.
We use necessary cookies to store user sessions and to keep authenticated users signed in. Where we use cookies that are not strictly necessary (for example for analytics), we rely on your consent.
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, and delete your personal data. You also have the right to data portability and the right to object to the processing of your personal data. If you wish to exercise these rights, please contact us.
We may update our Data Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Data Policy on this page.
